Baking paper can contain a small amount of PFAS. These chemicals are harmful to health. It is not clear how much PFAS a sheet of baking paper contains, says Jacob de Boer, AIMMS (VU) professor of Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology. “The last investigation into this was in 2010, when it turned out that less PFAS was found on baking paper than before.
