Seminar

Dr Jason Paxman (Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Biochemistry and Genetics, La Trobe University, Melbourne) will provide an AIMMS Seminar on 17 July entitled 'Cell surface adhesins implicated in bacterial pathogenesis, new mechanisms of action and modes of regulation and inhibition'.

You are all cordially invited!

Abstract

In the first part of his talk, Dr Jason Paxman will provide an overview of the structures and mechanisms of action of 2 new autotransporters. During the second half of the talk, Paxman will present the work on a third autotransporter and he will explain how he devised a means of inhibiting its aggregation/biofilm formation phenotype.
