SafeSciMET presents a unique pan-European education and training network on drug safety. All drug safety professionals from industry and academia who want to address specific knowledge gaps are welcome to follow our courses.
The SafeSciMET network consists of top institutes for drug safety education and research. Courses are tailor-made and encompass the safety, ethical, regulatory and societal aspects in all phases of drug development. Emphasis lies on integrative, translational and 3Rs aspects of drug safety assessment.
The modular set up provides excellent opportunities for following dedicated subsets of courses. This can be accredited for continuing professional development. Scientists that successfully complete the full course programme and write an integrative Master’s thesis, will be awarded with an accredited Master of Advanced Safety Sciences of Medicines.
SafeSciMET is an abbreviation for Education & Training Programme in Safety Sciences for Medicines and is funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative Joint Undertaking (IMI-JU).
Post-graduate education in toxicology
Since 1989, toxicology departments of Dutch universities cooperate to offer a yearly Postgraduate Education in Toxicology programme.
The programme consists of courses of approximately one or two weeks each. The complete programme is such that it offers the participants the theoretical toxicological knowledge necessary for registration as a toxicologist, both with the Netherlands Society of Toxicology and with EUROTOX.
BioSB Research School
The BioSB education programme covers essential topics of the wide-ranging fields of bioinformatics and systems biology.
It offers a wide variety of training courses that enable life scientists to apply modelling and computational approaches in addressing scientific challenges.
HRSMC Research School
The mission of the HRSMC is to provide its PhD students with high-level educational training.
They offer a selection of courses, such as Molecular Modelling, Physical Methods in Inorganic Chemistry, and Photophysics, Photochemistry and Photobiology (PPP).
